Our Vision The Kidney Foundation of Canada is committed to achieving excellent kidney health, optimal quality of life, and a cure for kidney disease. Our Mission The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volunteer organization committed to eliminating the burden of kidney disease through: Funding and stimulating innovative research for better treatments and a cure; Providing education and support to prevent kidney disease in those at risk and empower those with kidney disease to optimize their health status; Advocating for improved access to high quality healthcare; Increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

A charitable organization that lives its values of accountability, collaboration, compassion, integrity, resiliency and respect, ALS Society of Canada works with the ALS community to improve the lives of people affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis through support, advocacy and investment in research for a future without ALS. Fully funded by donors, we were fortunate to benefit from the generosity of Canadians during the Ice Bucket Challenge of 2014, and are now focused on implementing our 2018 to 2023 strategic plan in support of the following long-term impacts: - people affected by ALS receive the best possible standard of care; - more treatments are available to improve quality of life and extend lifespan; and - people are empowered to make informed decisions about ALS. Our world is challenging. The people we serve are dealing with a devastating illness. But in the midst of it, their resiliency and spirit is remarkable and moving. You will be touched by the community and will find a way to naturally and effectively engage.

ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS is a grassroots fundraising initiative that brings together a passion for hockey with an unwavering commitment to supporting the ALS Society of Canada’s (ALS Canada) research program across the country. We aim to create a lasting impact by raising awareness and vital funds to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The concept is simple yet powerful: For every dollar raised, players will take a shot on net – whether in a game, on their own time at home, or playing with friends. Ten dollars equals ten shots, $100 equals 100 shots – you get the idea! Whether you’re cheering from the stands or following the game from the comfort of your home, you can participate in this fun-loving initiative by making a simple donation.
