Outreach St. George's Kingston - Lunch by George

Nonprofit
Outreach St. George’s Kingston (OSGK) was established in 1997 as an independent, non-profit and secular organization to: - co-ordinate resources to provide food and clothing to the poor, and - extend financial support to charitable agencies that serve children and/or abused women in the City of Kingston. The Lunch Program has been its principal activity in recent years, but OSGK has also coordinated the financial support for a refugee family that settled in Kingston in 2003.

Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston

Nonprofit
Our Club is part of a global network that endeavors to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. We are a non-political and non-religious group that strives to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. We value the uniqueness of every individual regardless of age, size, ability, race, ethnicity, faith, socio-economic status, immigration status, sexual orientation, and gender expression and identity. CK Rotary has a long history of responding to the needs of our community by awarding grants and providing volunteer service to other charitable organizations in the greater Kingston area that share our goals and core values. We welcome individuals who are looking for opportunities to improve our community today while investing in a better future for the generation of tomorrow. We believe that caring for and serving others is the best way to live because it not only changes the lives of others, but also changes our own. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” (Margaret Mead)

Ryandale Transitional Housing

Nonprofit
Ryandale provides a sober living space for homeless men. It does not discriminate against past drug use, mental illness or time spent in prison. Residents spend up to one year learning life skills, healing from trauma and/or addiction and overcoming the obstacles that led them to become homeless. With Ryandale’s help, people can reduce their risk of relapsing and improve their chances of staying housed.
