WHAT WE DO Caring for communities from coast-to-coast St. John Ambulance Canada has more than 15,000 volunteers and coordinates one of the country’s largest volunteer networks. Our volunteers positively impact the lives of millions of Canadians each year. While the financial contribution of St. John Ambulance community service volunteers could be calculated in millions of dollars, the contribution to the safety of Canadians is immeasurable. When Canadians need them, our volunteers have an unmatched record of answering the call. Our Therapy Dog Program brings comfort, joy and companionship to thousands of people throughout Canada each year. Well-trained and well-equipped, St John Ambulance Medical First Response volunteers are at countless public events to provide basic and advanced medical care when first aid emergencies occur.

ShelterBox Canada

We provide shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. We listen and adapt our support to the needs of each community, working together with those affected by disaster, alongside our supporters and partners. ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives. Every disaster is different and so is every community, so we spend time with those affected to make sure we can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover. See how we work. Our teams can travel by boat, helicopter or tuk-tuk to get to the families who need your support – whatever it takes to get to the people who have lost their homes to disaster. Rideau Waterway Land Trust

The Rideau Waterway Land Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to preserving ecologically significant lands within the Rideau Corridor, between Kingston and Ottawa. Our area of interest includes the Rideau River Watershed and part of the Cataraqui River Watershed. The majority of our 25 conserved lands are located within the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO-recognized biosphere region in Canada. The Rideau Canal is a designated National Historic Site, Canadian Heritage River, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. RWLT works with property owners and community organizations to acquire and protect lands for the benefit of the community and future generations. RWLT relies on revenues from Rock Dunder, Covington Cottage, grants and donations to fulfill our mission.
