Start2Finish is a national nonprofit that works with elementary school students in over 70 under-resourced communities across the country. Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada. We operate free running and reading clubs once a week at partner elementary schools that focus on physical activity and literacy development. Students work towards completing a 5km run by the end of the program and also participate in reading challenges. These clubs run from October to the end of May.

We provide shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. We listen and adapt our support to the needs of each community, working together with those affected by disaster, alongside our supporters and partners. ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives. Every disaster is different and so is every community, so we spend time with those affected to make sure we can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover. See how we work. Our teams can travel by boat, helicopter or tuk-tuk to get to the families who need your support – whatever it takes to get to the people who have lost their homes to disaster. The Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative (A2A) is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing a critical wildlife corridor connecting Algonquin Park in Ontario and Adirondack Park in New York. We formed from the recognition that conserving this globally significant landscape—one of the last large-scale, intact forest and wetland linkages in Eastern North America—requires a collaborative, grassroots effort. As a backbone organization, we facilitate collaboration, research, and project development among a wide array of local partners, including land trusts, Indigenous groups, community associations, and academic institutions. Our work is driven by a deep understanding of local ecosystems and community needs, ensuring that our conservation efforts are both science-based and locally rooted.
