Welcome to Autism Ontario Autism Ontario (legally incorporated as Autism Society Ontario) is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario. The work we do helps all autistic individuals and families in their communities have access to meaningful supports, information, and connections so they are equitably and seamlessly supported across their life course. Autism Ontario is guided by the board of directors, composed of parents, people on the spectrum, and respected professionals, who provide governance, expertise, and guidance to the organization on a volunteer basis. Autism Ontario aims to support and advocate alongside all autistic individuals across the province, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Now more than ever, we must be active and deliberate in listening to and including all autistic voices across the province. We will continue to expand our reach to neglected segments of our community. We will work to provide spaces of support and advocacy for our Black and Indigenous communities. And we will work together to dismantle the systems of oppression that prevent many autistic individuals from realizing their potential and living meaningful lives. Galilee Centre

Galilee Centre is a relatively small organization with an operating budget of about $0.75 million, with land, buildings and a scenic waterfront which is the envy of the neighbourhood! We define our catchment area as the “Eastern Ontario Triangle” described by the line of a) Pembroke-Ottawa-Cornwall, b) Cornwall-Brockville Kingston, and c) Kingston-Pembroke, and thereby includes those municipalities such as Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Almonte/Mississippi Mills and, of course, Galilee’s hometown of Arnprior among its client areas. Galilee has a 40-year history, and is a not-for-profit corporation with a charitable designation with CRA. We are governed by a small 8-10 member Policy Board which is accountable to the Membership of Galilee Centre and accountable for operational results managed by an Executive Director. As a retreat organization, Galilee Centre offers programs, services and facilities that are open to all, whether of a faith orientation (churched or un-churched), people of no-faith and people of various ethnic, cultural or religious backgrounds, in an open, Christian-oriented manner.

Kingston Fall Fair

The Kingston Fall Fair is hosted by the Kingston & District Agricultural Society for over 200 years, making it one of Kingston's longest running events! The fair takes place September 17 - 20 at the Kingston Memorial Centre, 303 York Street. This event includes livestock and heritage skills competitions, 4-H achievement days, horse shows, the Country Singing Showdown, a huge midway, demolition derbies, monster trucks and more. We appreciate all the help we can get to make this a memorable event for more than 25,000 people who attend each year. We strive to offer a fun and educational experience for the whole family, to help connect urban and rural residents, and increase awareness of agriculture in our region.

Zero Food Waste nonprofit is a Canadian wide nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing food waste in our community. Through Queen's students, the zero food waste initiative has spread to Kingston. Our is to create a more resilient and environmentally conscious Kingston by connecting local food businesses, residents, and organizations to minimize waste! We operate through various initiatives, including food recovery programs and community outreach. Our food recovery efforts involve collecting surplus food from local businesses and redistributing it to local charities and food banks in need, ensuring that no food goes to waste. By raising awareness about the environmental impacts of food waste, we aim to inspire a culture of sustainability in Kingston. Repair Cafe Kingston

Repair Cafe Kingston is a neighbourhood initiative, hosted by the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship, that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. We meet on the second Sunday of the month, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., at 206 Concession Street (Unitarian Place), where our volunteer "fixers" will help you diagnose and repair your broken items.  We have other volunteer opportunities for everything from helping with set-up to community outreach.

The Epilepsy & Seizure Disorder Resource Centre of Southeastern Ontario (also known as Epilepsy Resource Centre) is a non-profit organization that offers epilepsy support services to all of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Counties, as well as Leeds & Grenville County. We also work towards spreading epilepsy awareness to the community as this disorder is not well understood by the public. Our organization continues to grow in response to the need to provide comprehensive support to all those affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders.
